11×14 canvas, acrylic paint. I wanted to try out some of the lovely golden yellow colors that J.W. Turner used. First, I sw a bridge, & then came the city. A city of light & hope.

It has been about 1 year since I have worked with alcohol inks on yupo. Yupo is a synthetic “paper” for use in artwork. Alcohol ink appears to be one brilliant on yupo; the colors become vibrant. I think it has something to do with the way that light reflects off the yupo & thru the inks.

Alcohol ink is difficult to work with because it evaporates very quickly. However, it is worth a try!

On the 10. June, a friend of mine was driving her daughter home from dance class, when a semitruck hit & killed her. Her daughter & son in the car survived. Her husband was home with the baby.. Jasmine was a school teacher, & a loving wife & mother.
