I created this 16×20 canvas image; first painting various colors with acrylic paint. Then I adhered rice art paper to the canvas, & when that was dry, I sketched in the birds, using art inkpens.

The Waters of Shiloh

I was inspired by a form I saw on Hieronymas Bosch’ tryptich. They were round with an ellipse form inside.

Also, I found several meanings for the word “Shiloh”; “A Place of Rest”, “He Whose it is”. The reference is from Genesis 49:10. Also, I found a quote from Vincent van Gogh:”I’m glad you find things that feed the inner life. For this is what great art does. How rich art is!”
