I enjoy painting black women with their beautiful Afros. To me, the afro appears to be a halo when the light shines upon it. Its feeling is like a cloud.
I used sheet music for her dress. I can’t read sheet music, but I love listening to violins when painting.
This artwork is on a 16×20 canvas.
The artist calling is to inspire. The Window of Vision liberates the viewer from the mundane & opens the eyes to see in a fresh revelation.

Awhile ago, I created n 11×14 artwork which I named “Cosmosville Spiral”; It was a fun, delightful portrayal of a swirling heavenly city.
So, I returned to that thought a few days ago & created this-“The Village of Raphael”- mainly beacause of the meaning of this name & also because I like it.

Finding the recent recording from Steffany Gretzinger very inspiring, I splashed some magenta and indian yellow on a canvas, added texture, & let it dry. As I gazed at the canvas, I saw a face, with what appeared to be a flying crown and a broken bowl with wine.
